Just been looking at flights to/from Boston to go and see my cousin in May/June.

Oil now trading at around $53 a barrel and yet the cost of airline tickets has not come down by 1p

Me thinks the airlines are taking the preverbial.

If you have the time try going via Iceland as you can with them stop of for a couple of days there at no extra (airline ) charge. It also has the advantage that each leg of the trip is only 4 or so hours long

From what I can gather from those forumites who've been there, Iceland is a complete dump, have no idea why you'd recommend that ;)

Flying via dublin is usually nicer, if you have to split the journey to fly there the night before it's only €1 shuttle to the airport from a nearby business park with a premier inn, saved a load flying locally going to the west coast, not so much for the east (and you clear customs in Ireland)

It actually feels wrong to be seeing daylight at this time of year for me.

Knowing full well I wasn't gonna sleep much tonight since I dozed when I got in, I necked a can of Coke and fired up the laptop. And now the power's gone out in this part of Belfast :x :x :x

I'm fcuking sick of where I live. It's just continuous; every week there's roadworks of some description nearby meaning drilling and disruption, and some dickhead inevitably goes through a cable, usually Virgin's. It's Housing Executive houses so they are out endlessly messing people about. There isn't even a footpath that isn't flooded, never mind the roads. Speaking of water, a drink from the tap would need to be boiled and cooled beforehand... The place just needs fcuking H-bombed and starting over.

Thought it would be wrong to see any daylight as you're a vampire. No?

There's actually more truth to that than folks may realise.

I was using the term in its most abstract meaning

I still wonder why people bother to travel for honeymoons. Surely you don't get to see much outside the bedroom?
