Work have kindly allowed me to roll over unused annual leave to this year. So I've taken one week off now and another week some time later in the year.

I went back to work Friday, got sick over the weekend and now have tonsilitis and an ear infection, so I'm off work sick until the drugs kick in :-(

Frankly, would rather be at work!!

The office I am currently sitting in has air-con and that is playing merry hell with my back. Time to put the coat on, I think.

School, and the train wreck it became when I hit the third year (now year 9 I think). Due to illness, I was held back a year, so I lost a lot of friends in the process, and didn’t really gain that many in the new class. I wasn’t treated very well, and while I stuck it out, in hindsight I feel it was a massive mistake to have kept me back.

Anyway, the good side of this is a friend from school recently posted a class picture with me in it . This was my original class, and between us we managed to remember all the names. Also helped me remember that not all of school life was ghastly - there were a lot more decent people in that group of people than in the class I moved to. This has been playing on my mind the last few days. It’s been a good/bad mix of feelings. I get the feeling that I was missed.

I'm about to spend about £60k on building costs....

I'm lucky that my man gets a lot of things trade price or cheaper. We got £3k worth of bathroom tiles for £240.

I'd double check them, tiles are very fragile and don't like falling off the back of lorries...

With all this talk of tiles, why am I expecting bratty to tell us that they are what foreign Irish people use to dry themselves?

We're hoping to max out at £50k. However it's looking like it will be close to £60k by the time the kitchen and new bog are fitted.
