At what point tonight I'm going to be allowed to weigh up the active system. It's been '1 to 2 hours' for the last 7 hours.

How difficult can it be to find a decent potato masher that isn't £10+? So far they've been made of plastic ('nylon'), too small or the wrong bloody shape - apparently one mashed spud's your lot

I know what you mean. I find the cheap ones that come apart 'for ease of cleaning' particularly annoying as they come apart while you're mashing.

The new Band Aid single.
Specifically the adjusted line "well tonight we're reaching out and touching you"
The do realise it's in aid of Ebola, and touching people is probably best avoided?

May start a thread on this but I've been asked several times what I would like for xmas. TBH since I've started working, I just buy what I want and currently have no needs.

Any suggestions?

World peace always goes down well. Failing that, video games? Booze? Booze and video games?

We've just told everyone that there's nothing we want or need and have asked people to make a donation to a charity instead.

I'm currently on day 2 of my annual leave. I'd taken half of it earlier in the year. Strictly speaking I have no need for the rest. I can't choose to take it over Xmas (we've agreed no one can). I once got paid for unused leave and after tax and everything, it just wasn't worth it. I spent yesterday in bed watching Netflix. Today I've been a bit more useful and have done laundry, cleaned and vacuumed my room, and have had had lunch.

I really need to get through all my papers that I've stuffed here and there but the girlfriend has borrowed my shredder.
