Whether the displacement to oil based mud will happen before the end of my shift.

I really hope not as it's a 240 m3 displacement and I only have 110 m3 of pit space for the returns. There's going to be lots of tankers involved in this cluster [LIFTED].

Oh yeah, I'm getting away with it. Just hope it doesn't take an addition twelve hours or it'll be on my next shift.

The X Factor ratings must be bad considering they're now advertising it on Spotify, though that does make sense at least.

I tend to read the feminist articles on The Guardian but Christ, I don't think Taylor Swift taking her music off Spotify is an act of feminism somehow. And some of their commentators/contributors use the stereotypes and tactics they've just accused men of in the very same article.

I find fundamentalism and self-awareness are rarely bedfellows.

How much I'm being paid an hour to play Baldur's Gate 2 tonight (there's really nothing happening at the rig tonight).

As it's my birthday, I'm in the office alone listening to Radiohead and doing as little work as possible. Proactive I am not.

Happy Birthday, Alex! :D

Printers. How is it that a computer can perform a billion billion billion calculations per billionth of a second, but still take an absolute age to do something as simple as install a frikkin' printer driver?

Happy Birthday sir!

Although I do have a mental image of you sitting alone being sad in your office becuase of Radiohead (see Father Ted episode with Tommy Tiernan in it).
Anyway, I'm sure it's not like that. Have a good one :D
