I think it'll go direct to VoD.

Ridley on his sequels - hard to disagree about the Alien.

‘TAK3N’ Releases Its 1st Trailer! Seriously! (large character fate spoiler in the text and trailer)

There's nothing wrong with the trailer itself, but would it have killed them not to give a major scene away that otherwise would have had real impact?

Deadpool film to be part of larger X-men universe
I'm wondering if this'll now have a detrimental impact on the films certificate rating. (8+\

They might panic with the 'bums on seats' rating anyway - I doubt Fox has the belief it can do a GOTG with Deadpool.

Christopher Nolan screws over cinemas with two-day jump for theaters still capable of exhibiting from film projection over digital.

But it's not.
It's alienating the larger theatre owners that have undergone the costly conversion process that was dictated by Hollywood studios.
I feel for the studios that have done this and now are being looked-over to provide first exhibition to those that couldn't afford the conversion.
I also feel for the studios that have gone out of business because they lost so much custom as they couldn't afford the conversion and so went out of business.
Doing it this way though, the way that Nolan has just gone, is a dick move, in my opinion.

By studios, you mean cinemas I'm guessing?

Actually, I think it's a life line to those cinemas who've not made the leap to digital projection.
If you are a small indie cinema (I have no idea how it breaks down in the US compared to the UK) then getting a 2 day drop on the multiplex up the road is a marvellous thing. The multiplex up the road shouldn't be sweating it as they've got the modern set up for the rest of the time.
There is room for both. It shouldn't be a choice between both mediums.

Ready For An 'Avengers 3' Without...The Avengers?
http://www.latino-review.com/news/ready ... e-avengers

I honestly believe they'll struggle once the old team's gone, it's a real sum of it's parts thing, and it's hard to picture a team with the likes of Ant Man and the polarizing Doctor. They might need a headliner at the very least, probably Iron Man. I'm absolutely sick at this point of Thanos being hinted at and going nowhere, I know that much.

Ditching Garfield would be a very bad idea unless he's as unhappy as he seems recently, but the problem is they left themselves little wriggle room last time they treated it so much like an advert. If you haven't got a decent Spidey you ain't got villains, and certainly no Venom!

It would certainly help sell a new Avengers line-up, and I never rule anything out, no matter how unlikely. 'Nobody knows anything' was the quote I believe...
