Here is an interesting conundrum.
To get married in Germany, I need a document that says that I don't have a residence in the UK...
Where can I get such a document? It needs to be an official document., so I can't slip someone here a fiver to knock one up.

Inland revenue might be a good place to look. Afterall if you lived there they should certainly know about it. Otherwise the embassy.

Thanks Ed, but I already have that information or the Registry Office here said they would do that with me (CNI). But they want this non-resident in the UK thing.

The .gov website also neglects to mention I need a printout from the birth register (not birth certificate), with apostile and translated into German.
