It's an article that makes some interesting points.

Have to say that it's the whole cinema experience for me when I do go - from watching it on a big screen to seeing it before some d1ckhead tells me about it or a website does something similar. But then I also go when it's cheap :D

I rarely rent films because of the ridiculous prices and no guarantee the fcuking thing won't sit there buffering half way through. Also, most films struggle to be bloody average now! Not to mention I normally have three streaming services when Vermin Media #spastics get their act together.

Stalk the DVD aisles at the supermarket. DVDs don't buffer. ;)

Apart from most films not even being worth £3, I'm never in supermarkets!

Ern, I'm a little confused.
You apparently love the movies and the gossip - almost every post in this thread is yours. (And I'm not saying that's a bad thing.)
Yet you seem reluctant to spend £3 on a physical copy of a film that you can watch over and over again.
You also, IIRC so correct me if I'm wrong, don't enjoy going to the cinema - or at least paying for the ticket.
So I'm drawn to conclude you don't actually enjoy films at all, as you don't appear to support them in any way. :?

I haven't bought any 'new' films in years now, only 'classics'. I think the last new film I bought was Prometheus. Most films aren't worth buying now, though I might make an exception for Cap 2.

Regarding cinema, I love films, but it's increasingly hard to justify going at all. I don't object to paying lol, it's just I've seen some utter drivel in recent years (seen many films this year), and things that cound fund a hospital wing should at the very least be well put together. As I've said before, I'm under no illusions about what it takes to make a film, but that's no excuse for the dross we've been seeing. The studios know it too; you can tell by the release dates sometimes lol. And the piracy excuse for everything from Wolverine Origins to Expendables 3. TV is fast becoming the only way to fly for me. It's a rum do when Hercules assaults your actual dignity  ;)

There's a CGI Popeye film in the works and it's being done by Genndy Tartakovsky.

The original Clerks ending

Just imagine... ther would've been no Clerks 2 and no donkey! lol

Quote:
Kevin Smith's new comedy/horror film Tusk opens this weekend and it's got us thinking back to Clerks, which turns 20 next month. It's the super low-budget movie that transformed the 24-year-old Jersey kid and comic book nut into one of the most beloved indie filmmakers of the 1990s and a cult hero for slackers everywhere, even if the mainstream press hasn't quite embraced all of his follow-up films.

If they include Deathstroke he'll have to be something special to top Arrow's version. Either way, with any luck they'll have the wit to keep it the fcuk away from Snyder's sphere of influence. Certainly more interesting than the Sinister Six n'all.

If they could do it akin to Assault on Arkham, I'd go watch it. Doesn't need to have Batman in it.

I'd been thinking that too. They're a great set of characters. They could introduce them in small ways even in Snyderworld (Waller's traditionally linked to Luthor, Black Manta to Aquaman etc).

Does anyone know if/when Space Station 76 is going to get a UK cinema release?
