I can't say I was blown away by the recent X-Men trailer. In fact, everything I've seen thus far is from the same bunch of scenes. I therefore suspect it's yet another film where the budget disappears into the final reel cos they've got way too many actors/characters to pay and a consequently crap script that has to shoehorn them all in. There's also the matter of the sheer amount of trailers, posters, behind the scenes vids, you name it... Recently that's always a bad sign, and especially with comic book movies.

Their small team splits everything up though tbf - they've currently got a poll for which of them should go and see Spidey 2 lol. He does say it's not his sort of film at least, and the lead guys have both freely admitted that there's big gaps in their 'knowledge' in the past.

The upcoming X-Men is one hell of a project character-wise so who knows what will come out of that*, plus the older cast members are often very busy lol. The budget alone... For a lot of reasons a cross-studio production incorporating Spidey would make more sense, but that's not happening anytime soon either. Tbh I'll be surprised if they actually get to making the Spidey villain movies the more I think of it; Garfield and the director have both said they're out after 3 IIRC, and 2 was just a badly thrown together ad for it...

*Gotta say though, I suspect it's a bit of a clunker there's so much promo material appearing. It's always the same with superhero flicks, but I hope I'm wrong.
