Anyone know what Hotline Miami's like?

retro. rock hard. One of those games where it takes you a whole evening to get out of the first level.

Screw that, then. Cheers!

You have not suffered the fail of being stuck on a level for 9 months because you cannot remember the route out.

Not seen the video. Looks pretty much the same as the current design for PS3. The folding thing never bothered me and seems to make it more fragile. Charging whilst in use - i've always done this withthe current headset - buy a usb extension cable from amazon basics and then plug into PS3. Charges and you can still use it at the same time.

My rubber pads are still fine so not sure why yours were so problematic. Also agree that sliders are better than buttons - silent in operation and you can quickly turn the vol right down if someone wants to chat in real life.

The charging port is on the end of the support instead of dangling behind your ear (not ideal in my room). The pads, and indeed the headrest bit, wore away on mine cos I use them nearly every day. Even right now I can hear my gobsh1te father...
I'd rather spend the money on the headphones than the camera, to be honest. I may find myself needing a gaming headset if online games seems to be the way forward.

Quite enjoying War Thunder. Not yet peeked into what I expect will be the mayhem that is Killzone online playing.

It's actually quite fun, although there's not a whole lot of organisation going on in some of the game modes. You get a some small groups that work together but generally it's a free for all unless some level of cohesion happens 'organically' (i.e. by accident).

EU PS Plus update: Tomb Raider, Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition, Brothers
Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD and Smart As are free downloads too

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/45 ... -brothers/

Tomb Raider's good, Dead Nation's just an old-skool multi-direction shooter with never-ending enemies, Brothers is infuriating apparently. The others I know nothing about.

Sony launches EU PlayStation Store 'Deal of the Week'

I just wouldn't spend £20 on a single game on PSN, you can usually own the thing for that price or a little more, selling it on or adding/removing it on your hard drive without it taking hours.

PlayStation games are too expensive, here's why Valve has the right idea

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/co ... ea-1230763

It'll be a long time before it changes PSN - it's quite clear that there are a lot of idiots out there paying a fortune for a game that could disappear at any time.

It's not even that great if you haven't already played most of the games!

PlayStation Now game rental pricing seemingly revealed, then yanked

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/po ... eb-1232691

Depends on quality of service and 'rental period' if those prices are right. Who would have faith in Sony after experiencing PSN?

*Shrug* YMMV. Other than them still doing maintenance at times which are convenient for the entire world apart from the EU, PSN's been pretty much hassle free for me since the PS4 launch.

It takes a good minute just for the store front to appear for me at least, and quite often your selections straight up don't work (button presses do nothing, tiles and options don't appear...). And the download speeds are as pathetic as ever.

I'm also continually signed out for absolutely no reason - fantastically annoying in MP or Netflix etc. For me the service feels like it's held together with string.

I thought it was my connection but it's happening to people on VM etc too, and I'm fully patched for everything.

I'm on VM. The storefront isn't blazingy fast admittedly but I've not seen any of the other problems you mention so far.

PlayStation Now game rentals spotted on PS Store

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/45 ... ion-store/

You'd need to be pretty confident with a one day rental for games these days, though it would work as a test for many that receive yearly updates and FPSs etc.
