There are certain people that I am acquainted with who seem to think that "friends you make on forums just aren't real friends". I think this thread is living proof that that's just [LIFTED].

Having trekked to Lacloss's pub I can testify to that.

It's funny, I really only knew Jon Lumb from here and the Silli Plaice, but when he came to stay it was like he'd visited a hundred times before :) I have a number of friends that I only know online, but then Red and I met on the internet and it's proof positive that you can learn so much more about a person or group of people by chatting online.

My partner of 7 years was someone I met through the internet.

The funeral was this afternoon at 16:15. Quite well-attended and a really nice service. KW's parents had the wake at their house and we told stories of him and laughed together. I have a digital copy of the service so PM me if you want a copy. Yule at Chez Red on Saturday and a glass or two of whisky will be raised to JJ.

I'd like to do some fund raising for the hospice in question.

My British credit card has had a surplus for the last 6 months, I'd happily donate that.

Maybe incorrect terminology but a thread where we basically think about JJW009 and essentially a blank post as a kind of minute of silence.

I'll post the information on the back of the order of service which gives you details of how to make donations to the hospice via the funeral home on JJ's behalf. Nice idea, we'll be doing all our fund-raising this year in memory of JJ and donating the proceeds to the Hospice.
