Ben Affleck to play Batman in 2015 Superman sequel

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23806756

Hard to picture for me, but then I would never have picked Keaton either, know what I mean? I hope he's gonna be a badass if Clark's gonna remain miserable.

Thanks but I was kinda hoping you guys would have a bash and put up some pics too. I can't draw - I can only doodle. Would be great to see some of your efforts.

I used to be able to draw a little many years ago, but now I can't focus enough :(

Batman Petition: Call For Affleck To Be Dropped

http://news.sky.com/story/1132992/batma ... be-dropped

What winds me up is that if Snyder makes Superman 2 with as little intelligence as he did the first, Affleck will get the blame whether he was good in it or not. I mean Russell Crowe had more impact in that movie than the world-recognised superhero lead!

I haven't got the time to do a Batman at the moment but while having a bit of a tidy up of the studio today I came across a couple of pieces I was working on back in the early 90's when I thought I might try and get into the art side of comics, something I'd wanted to do since I was about 7 or 8 years old. What with one thing and another I didn't completely finish these pages but as they are never going to see the light of day anywhere (all I see are loads of mistakes) I thought it might be interesting to scan them in and put a couple of panels here.

I was going through a Swamp Thing phase and a John Woo phase!

Why Ben Affleck Said 'Yes' to Batman (Analysis)

Quote:
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the process began earlier this year, after director Zack Snyder had finished working on Man of Steel with producer Christopher Nolan. Snyder and the studio already had ideas for a follow-up, and Snyder reached out to Affleck to check the star's interest.

It's unclear when exactly these talks began. Multiple sources say the studio approached other actors as well, including Josh Brolin. Ryan Gosling was also a possibility, but the actor dislikes the idea of sequels.

But Affleck was curious, and initial talks focusing on story and character began. Once Affleck was satisfied, WME's Patrick Whitesell and Ziffren Brittenham's Sam Fischer began negotiating his role in the Superman sequel. Sources say that Affleck has been signed for multiple movies, should sequels continue to proliferate. The talks were so secretive that many Warners execs and most WME agents remained unaware of their existence.

Make sure you click the link for the rest - I'm very surprised at the amount of involvement Nolan was supposed to have had in MoS, though maybe I shouldn't be after 'Rises :(

I was in Forbidden Planet earlier (shouldn't be allowed in there on my own...) and picked up the Brave and the Bold car from the ongoing collection. I'm not keen on the series, but I love the car.
