sells a moderate amount. News somehow leaks out. Sales go through the roof. Cynical moi!

Absolutely. Had the book been a success this secret would have remained so.

Funny thing is, I'm still not interested.

Hmm, Windows Defender came up with a malware warning on that link!

Edit: a JS iFrame Trojan.

It took me something like 4 hours to set up a print server. First it wouldn't reset to default settings as it should have done. Then HP really wound me up with its insistence of signing up to download the Jet Admin software. Then it wouldn't run because it needed snmp (component wasn't installed and I don't have the installation CD). Then I ran another version and it wanted windows installer 4.5. That in itself was a bit of a faff. Finally got Jet Admin to run and it stopped because I needed 3GB of ram FFS (on this PC there's 1GB max). Eventually went down a different route and managed to configure the print server. Except it didn't like the IP address I'd used so had to reconfigure it. The last hour was spent finding a suitable data socket to use, configuring it on the network switch, and setting up five computers so they could all print to it.

Welcome to the world of Admins.

Although I haven't bought / specified a PC with less than 4GB RAM since about 2004.

I just hope no one asked you how long will it take. In the world of IT if you say a time it's guaranteed to take at least double that.
