Justin Beiber. Need I say more?

Is that a target on his forehead?

He really does come across as an arrogant prick.

He's definitely fully invested in the crap being spouted by some marketing tosser. "All publicity is good publicity. Stand out from the crowd. Get them talking about you" blah blah blah.

Tesco Tagliatelle and Tesco Arrabiatta sauce. Together as a combination, it was uninspiring at best. Hell, freshly ground pepper was sharper in taste.

I don't doubt that Bieber is going all out in the publicity stakes - even that wee twat isn't as stupid as he seems recently.

So I'm trying to order some RAM for my Mac from Crucial. Except I've moved house since I last ordered so now I need to phone them up to change my billing address
Now, I appreciate that this is probably a security measure but plenty of other online stores seem to manage changes to billing information online without much difficulty.

Oh yeah, their password change system is also a bit rubbish. It's been several years and I could actually remember if I had an account so I started to set up a new one only to be told an account with my e-mail address already existed. Fair enough, reset password and bingo - or so I thought. On the first pass I get bumped to the US crucial site which has no record of my account. On the second go I get sent an e-mail to reset my password. Follow the link, reset the password only to be told there is a problem. Except there actually wasn't and the new password works fine.

Bah!

That is when password managers come in handy for accounts that you do not use every day. It still is a fail for directing you to another site.

I really should invest in a P/W manager.
In other news, things with Crucial get even more bizzare.
Apprently the reason they can't let you change your billing address online is becuase their internal system would cascade the address change to all previous invoices that used the old address. Their solution is to lock out the old account and to make you set up a new one with the new billing address.

Is it just me or does that sound like a really bad back end system they have handling invoicing? For some reason I was expecting better from a large company like Micron.

They pay for themselves pretty quickly if you can upgrade the passwords significantly. If you use the same password for everything it increases the risks of trouble. I have 337 log-ins and the risks increase immensely if one were hacked and I have lots of online accounts with the same password.

Not it not you. It is a bad system. I can see that they do it as a way of tracking your previous purchases but I cannot see how that would work for a company that orders and might have ten delivery addresses and still only one billing address. From what I gather it forces you to have another email address as well.

Oh yes... waking up, looking at your watch and thinking 'Fcuk, I'm late for work!' is a real FAIL when all you've did is fall asleep after getting in. Yet again. In fact, that's a FAIL on so many levels

When I first started working in hospital, that used to happen to me frequently. Would arrive home say 1700-1730, crash out on the bed. Suddenly I'd have this urgency to wake up, would do so, look at the clock and see it was after 730 (12r clock) and I'd panic. A quick check of my phone (to wonder why the alarm didn't wake me) made me realise it was still evening.

I'm also waking up around 6.30am when I don't actually leave the house until much later - I've clearly got work in my subconscious and that's just frigging sad

That happens to me all the time, though I think it is the afternoon when it is the early hours.

Yeah, I use LastPass, which is free - there is a premium model, if you want to use the phone/tablet app, but I use it mainly on the desktop or my Windows tablet, which uses a standard browser, so I don't need the premium version at the moment.

Whatever password manager you use it is better than the same password for everything, or that piece of paper with a list of them all neatly written out just so easy for a stranger to walk off with.

While I agree with the 1st point - the second point if its at home is a bit of a red herring. When I someone comes into yur house to steel stuff they are after what they can flog down cash converters / gold for sale shops. Unless its MI6 after you then the average burglar is not going to start looking for a password book

Yes it if it is found they could have access to your Paypal account and bank accounts. Many shopping sites have credit card details stored so you could find online purchases being made for whatever. Not just that. Family members could order stuff at your expense. What if you have an partner who wants to leave the relationship and decides to raid your accounts or buy loads of leaving presents at your expense.

Tried to arrange a VC with London based external supplier when I was in US in January and they didn't have the system set up. Have been trying to arrange another one with them since and the meeting kept being cancelled. VC guy been testing with their site for weeks and kept having problems.

Meeting today and they didn't connect so boss cancelled it in a huff LOL

Voicemail on my phone when I got back "Maybe we should come to you and do the VC with the US from there"

   :D
