I've been awayfor a couple of weeks whilst attendig grandfather's funeral. My mum was gutted throughout. Spent the first week staying with her family and not doing much so ended up reading some Jack Reacher books. Second week just did some general out-and-about stuff.

Think I really needed it. It was my first proper holiday in may be 3-4 years? The first time I've been away when I've not had to worry and studies/exams/work. My mind was completely worry free. It was a whole different world out there and I forgot about everything else.

I think I need to go on holiday more often.

Hope the funeral went well and glad you got some well deserved rest. I always switch work off when I am away but a lot of my colleagues are constantly checking email. Don't understand it myself.

She needs a better agent or something

I suspect that many actors and actresses have spells when they are not earning much and being self employed they do not count for unemployment etc. The fact that she is in Game Of Thrones is minor, as she is probably one of many in the cast and her agent takes a slice as well. She may only get $100 000 for a season, and that is before her agent takes a slice, and accountants etc.

I know where you're coming from and Dredd for instance was neither a big hit/budget, but you're tslking about a woman who doesn't stop. Reminds me, she was in the Terminator TV show too

It's funny because if anyone that sees this has a daughter and doesn't click the 'Like' link, they are basically admitting to the world that their kid is ugly. (8+)

Arrived at work 06:30 this morning and hit the road at 07:15 for a dive trip up the coast. We stopped at the motorway services for coffee and encountered a random breath test on the slip road to rejoin the motorway. We got pulled over and my colleague was breath tested; whilst we're waiting for the analysis the officer looks around the cab, spots me and says "I know you" :!: :?: . It turns out his daughter has just leart to dive with us a few weeks ago. :)

We start having a bit of a chat as it's early and still quiet, and when another car starts to undertake us the officer promptly stops him. We are now completely blocking the slip road, with us in the centre, the patrol car on the offside and the new car on the nearside. The officer decides that a friendly chat is no longer an option so waves us through. However a miscalculation of clearance by him and my colleague means the officer didn't have enough room between the nearside car and our trailer. I saw the whole thing in the mirror but didn't have a chance to warn my colleague. The officer was struck by the trailer wheelguard and went down in the road.

We attended him and an ambulance was called, but he insisted on sending us on our way. It turns out he has a fractured Tibia.

Well that doesn't happen everyday. :?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
