Not sure how much longer I want to keep doing the office job all week then security at the weekend, the extra pocket money is nice, but it does take it out of me.

In brighter news I've volunteered to start coaching kids "soccer" which should be fun, like Football Manager in real life right; and instead of plays being worth 10 million they're just 10? They play games on a Saturday or Sunday morning though, which is just another reason to give up the security work for a while.

There is an element of fun and if your main job does not offer that then if this volunteering does then it can help you get through the week, even if you have less money. It is not all about money. Quality of life can help immensely as well.

Oh yeah, the volunteering is going ahead regardless of if I give up the security gig. It's something I've wanted to get involved with for a while just glad I've finally got the time and lifestyle to allow me to do so.

I'm now just trying to decide whether to do both or just give up the security stuff.

Security work is usually poorly paid, at least here in the UK. Not sure of that in Oz, also can be dangerous at times. Though only you can decide.

You're right, I'm going to give up the security stuff, decision made. The hassle of the job along with the hours, shift times and poor rates make it a silly choice to stay on.

I have just had a gold crown split in half and fall out. And, by the feel of it, take a sizeable chunk of one of the adjacent teeth with it. This is.. inconvenient. Dentists Monday morning it is then.

As long as you are happy and can cope on the reduced income, then go with it. Being happy at what you do helps your overall well being.

Yeah, income was never the issue, we could cope if one of us was jobless altogether (which has been a reality recently, which adds to a bit of the reluctance to quit the sec work) but overall well being definitely was.

That being said, I've tonight resigned from the security work at least for the next 8 months with my last shift being this coming Friday. Not sure how I feel about it yet although I'll be glad to have my weekends back.

Well I didn't. Can't answer for anyone else.

Perhaps it was something to do with the dodgy porn site you were on before - see this post

Been fighting with some hackers for the last couple of days, thought I'd kept them out so looks like they went about it another way.

Files replaced etc so it's all clean
