Mark Millar discusses the problems of a Justice League movie

I can see where he's going with the Lantern comment, but that sort of thing still hasn't stopped Superman movies being made. And the age thing is totally irrelevant; these are characters known the world over to fans decades apart.

Will it be based on him in Norwich Radio or the TV studio?

JUSTICE LEAGUE May Be Looking For New Writers

Image

Quote:
There's one thing I believe with certainty: Warner Bros has no idea how to approach the Justice League movie.

I've now heard from multiple sources that the Will Beall script for Justice League has been scrapped. The story from each source is the same: it's terrible. Some sources seem to think the whole movie is going to fall apart and never happen, while some believe that Warner Bros will keep moving forward, unwilling to lose the superhero arms race.

Beall's script supposedly includes Darkseid and a heavy cosmic threat. But the script has been half-baked from the beginning, with reports saying that heroes (beyond the core five of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern) have been cut and added from the proceedings seemingly at studio executive will. The latest word was that Warner Bros, experiencing real cold feet, had decided to wait until The Man of Steel to really move forward, but it's possible that moving forward now will mean a whole new script.

Meanwhile the studio has been unable to get the interest of a quality director, reportedly because of the script. Without a script and without a director, Justice League seems unlikely to meet a 2015 release. The question is will it ever be released at all?

These days I'd have thought a script would need to be mindbogglingly bad even for some hack director not to take a big payday. Then blame the script.

Ernie, I don't agree with you about the script.
The dithering by the studio could actually mean that it wants to get this film right, but at the moment it only has one fifth of the team with any bankability.
Waiting for Man of Steel to come out is a prudent move.
If that film does the business at the box office there's still time to get a script together before the end of this year, cast it and get it shot next year.
Six months for editing and a summer/autumn release in 2015.
It's not difficult when you have the full resources of a major Hollywood studio behind you.

Oh no, I was only responding to what was being suggested about the script itself :)

Ah. Fair enough.
I still think waiting for Man of Steel to be released is a prudent move before making any decision on a Justice League film.

And the script is rumoured to be dire.

TTSS was good but not quite as thrilling as it possibly thought it was.

Bryan Singer Eyes Peter Dinklage For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’
By MIKE FLEMING JR Wednesday February 13, 2013 @ 9:50pm EST

EXCLUSIVE: For X-Men: Days Of Future Past, director Bryan Singer has assembled a collision of his original X-Men cast with returnees from X-Men First Class, but here’s an intriguing development: I hear he’s bringing in Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage into the mix for a key role. Dinklage won an Emmy for his work as Tyrion Lannister, arguably the only sane member of that sordid royal clan. Singer has become infatuated with announcing cast via Twitter (he’s got everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen and James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in the mix), but I’ll try to find out what role Dinklage will play.

Got to be Puck.

So what is his excuse in why he is doing it now? Pending divorce or hip operation?

Don't care, but I'd love to be able to get excited about a Star Wars series of films with JJ onboard (I didn't see the originals until they were on TV and I was too young to care, so little impact).

I saw them first time around so love them. The only character that could and possibly should appear is Chewbacca. Unless it is going to be set some twenty years later then do any need to be included. Though just having Han Solo back would sound like they are trying a spin off like X Men Origins.
