Sam Jackson doesn't need the money. If you add up all the box office of his films, he is one of the most lucrative actors in Hollywood. He may not always get the starring roles, but he certainly doesn't need to work for the money any more. Mark

So it's been confirmed. J.J. Abrams is the named director of the next chapter in the Star Wars films.
In all honesty, I don't care.
While I love Fringe, I don't particularly rate the Star Trek reboot film he did.
I just hope that ep. VII is a good film. That's really all I want from this.

this is quite interesting and worrying. I wonder if they will adapt a version of the Zahn's Thrawn trilogy or not. Would be terrible if they don't, and yet the actors are a bit too old now.

Well, the expanded universe has never really been accepted as 100% canon by George Lucas. I think it might be just as well that they'll be original stories, though I guess that doesn't stop them from possibly using characters from the expanded universe. We'll just have to wait and see. Mark
