It's more than that. They don't at all (because they can't) replicate the physical sensation of a weapon firing, the recoil and the percussive effects and the effect muzzle flash has on your vision and so on. It's like... driving a car in Gran Turismo on the Playstation then driving it in real life. Clarkson did it as a piece on Top Gear where he did that as a tribute to the Honda NSX a while back - drove an NSX on Laguna Seca on the playstation, then tried driving the actual course in the actual car. Not only were his lap times in the 'real' car massively worse than his lap times sat on his sofa but he was physically wrecked by the end of it. The game didn't at all prepare him for the vibration and the G forces and the heat and the all-encompassing noise of it all. Basically, anyone saying CoD is any sort of preparation for firing a real weapon is either a) an utter moron, b) has an agenda or c) both. The problem being with is that in a lot of the 'postal' situations, the people go out and get the guns after they've been sacked. Because they didn't need them because they didn't want to shoot people before they got sacked. So... yeah. Of course the obvious and only solution (stop them getting the guns at all) is also the only one the NRA can't possibly countenance.

Probably C. I love playing games where I kill things be it aliens or spaceships it allows me to get rid of any aggression. I love shooting preferably clay pigeons but still no inclination to kill anything.

There's nothing wrong, (in my opinion) with taking out* a rabbit or pigeon if a) you're going to eat it and b) it's not someone's pet. * by which I mean kill, not treat to a night on the town. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

Have a read of the issue. The Mayans never predicted the end of the world. It was inferred by the modern world.

I have no problems with hunting for food. Hunting for sport is another matter. Though nearly all grouse and pheasants end up on the table, plus they support employment in those areas.

Only realising that Amazon's order history search now actually works - then finding out that taking a chance and ordering something I might already own was a bad idea...

Since my sister who almost never emails is suddenly sending me suspicious links, I can only assume her email account has been compromised

My brother has just rung up from Perth WA to inform us that he has lost his passport and won't be able to make the already pushing it fine flight arriving on Christmas Eve. Poor chap, I actually feel worse for him than I do my parents who have come back from France for a big family Christmas at ours.

Well maybe you should tell her to beef up her password because B1TCH is lousy password.

A company has twice sent me a 'PS3 controller wall charger' except what they've actually sent me is a USB device charger that's the same size but incompatible... Twice now
