hm so nothing in the post arrived but I think NOW I will get a fine, did something silly today after talking to some pleasant cops in their car regarding permissions of modifying the ground in certain areas etc. They drove off and I drove off same direction as them  mini roundabout ahead and car incoming in distance very slow, clear left side and clear right side and I tend to always cut the roundabout and use other side of road to turn right into it, cop car is driving at a snails pace and it isint til cop reached just on the roundabout he decides to indicate right. And by then I have already cut this roundabout turning right also  so I had to "overtake" the cop car and hes just looking at me and Im like "oops" but im confused why he didn't pull me over for that(?) Will I get a ticket in the post now? doesn't help the fact ive not slept atall this week so

You're not turning in to anything, you clearly are a bad driver.
I'm glad you stay mostly in Scotland whilst driving, but I also expect to see you making the headlines some day for very tragic reasons.
It's not big and it's not clever to drive like a knobhead.
You should learn now before it's too late.

Especially before you get behind the wheel of an HGV!

Im actually a very good considerate driver compared to the people up here, please remember I have not slept in about 4 days in a row and hence why driving skills have lessened during this day ;)

I find driving trucks far more relaxed and easier than driving a car lol

Use that in your defence when you crash and kill or maim other people. Go on, I dare you.

That's not much of a defence Bratty, driving when that tired is irresponsible and incredibly dangerous to you and every other road user you encounter, driving an HGV in that state is unthinkable!

Of course you do, as you know that there's less chance of you dying when you plough into a car full of innocent members of the public :(

 well that will never happen, talking of maiming I actually nearly saw that today actually waiting behind traffic lights and it was flashing yellow and the 4x4 ahead of me starts to move quickly to drive off and just at last second a cyclist quickly ran past the lights with it still being flashing amber and 4x4 had to slam on brakes, dunno whos fault it would of been if he got hit

very wrong its because of the height in cab I can see round corners and over hedges etc etc which means Ican forward plan ahead much further and cuts out unnecessary stopping at junctions to see if its clear or not

Bratty's an awful driver - I can't believe this is news to you all. I'm more interested in this:

You certainly shouldn't be driving then.
brataccas wrote:

That always sends alarm bells ringing. The worst drivers I know reckon they drive well. The better ones are aware of their weaknesses and can assess their performance and continue improving.
brataccas wrote:

So you know you shouldn't be driving but still you drive?
brataccas wrote:

It shouldn't be. Even if the likelihood of something going wrong is about the same because the benefit of increased visibility neutralises the greater chance of an accident due to the larger size, possible articulation and greater number of blindspots (I very much doubt it does), the potential damage is increased massively in a like-for-like collision.

You may have increased visibility in the medium-long range, but for close stuff you're nearly blind, hence all the mirrors.

I can't even begin to imagine what he meant by that phrase.

ye, its scary how when you go over the pavement in a truck you literally cant feel the bump or the pavement whatsoever, its as though there never was a pavement :o same with some bad potholes, you can feel it a little but just ever so slightly ;)
