Evening all.

None of the 's'-word here (sadly) although the road my work is on is a dead-end and doesn't get gritted. I found out that it was covered in ice by going round the corner sideways, turning round mostly sideways, and going into the car park very sideways indeed. I love rear wheel drive.

So-so day at work - stainless steel caribbeana mug (thermally insulated by air gap) got put through the dishwasher again by the cleaner, so has had to come home, have the caribbeana removed and drained as it filled up with water.

Finished off trimming the Landy out with carpet tonight (all bar one panel, but the interior spare wheel mount complete with wheel makes reaching it a swine) - provided the Evilstick holds, it'll be lovely tomorrow morning! :)

And now, more tea.

Morning all, 5 hours driving and 2 site visits, before flying back home today. Hopefully we won't be as late to the airport as on the way out!

*yawn* Morning folks,

Up early as a friend has to leave Aber to visit family in hospital somewhat urgently. :| Muggins is on train station drop-off duty, so there's a chance I might actually be early to work for once.

Hopefully the glue holding the interior (carpet) on the roof has stuck, so the Landy won't be quite as baltic as usual!

In the meanwhile, tea.

Morning all.

Chuffing cold this morning. Hours of fun ahead working on backup stuff in our DC (which should actually for once be warmer than outside)

Morning all.

I actually slept through the night, for the first time in weeks. Consequently, I'm feeling rather chipper this morning; although, in deference to those in the office who did not receive the lord's bounty of blissful rest, I shall act like the usual grumpy tw@t.

ttfn :D

Morning.

I missed the snow, as it didn't get to the corner of Dorset I was in at the time. :(

Good news: my Mum seems to be on the mend, and Dad seems to be coping better with the carer side of things. I knew he could, but I think the sudden onset of illness when my Mum normally has the constitution of an Aurochs upset him, too. (It seems to have been some congestion in the inner ear, caused by some flu-like bug, which meant Mum was very wobbly on her pins. When I left to come home last night, she had managed to wobble into the sitting room unaided, and had watched a whole TV show without falling asleep.)

The main reason for the trip was photography. I now have to sift, organise and edit around 200 images. Keeps me quiet, I guess.

Onwards and sideways.

Morning.

I woke, feeling refreshed from a deep sleep. I figured it was about an hour before my alarm went off, maybe just after 0500. I checked the clock - 0130! :?

What a cruel trick to play on a body. Anyway, not feeling particularly like attempting to go back to sleep right then, I read a little. Eventually, my eyelids began to droop and I slumbered peacefully again until the alarm went off at the usual time.

Looks like it's going to be another cold one. Looks like we need to make some big decisions about the future of Penny-puss, too.

Onwards and sideways.

Morning. The office is very quiet today. Snow is alternating between being heavy and settling, and just plain not existing. At least we have plenty of supplies...

Morning all

Flying solo today. A lot of staff are using up the remains of holiday entitlements and Sicknote flies to Kenya today which, I imagine, will be a tad warmer than our frosty little hillside at the moment. I may even be forced to switch the heater on.

In other news, the MOT failure is jeopardising our trek north to spend xmas with the folks, and is putting a serious crimp in my plans to buy a mechanical keyboard.

Morning

Overslept and woke up at 7.40am. Was in work for 9.30am which isn't bad going.
