dunno if im overeacting on considering contacting police or not :( to put it short:

old ww2 building used as a electric station, recently got all its windows boarded up with a very clear high voltage no entry sign on it and its always locked. I have never ever seen anyone near it. Today driving past I notice the door of it wide open so I grab my chance and grab camera and enter (always wanted to see inside) could hear something but I think it was pigeons, no vehicles atall near the area, padlock is opened and theres quite a few things I could loot if I were a thief. Neat looking place and makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Checked out the other room in the building, again no workers or anybody but looked on floor and saw bird eggs unhatched and also on a floor no nest baby birds that were huddled together clearly breathing. they were grey with yellow heads so dunno what they were. Just dunno if it was broken into or what :? id be annoyed if trespassers came in and started taking stuff or damaging eggs :( what to do?

I think I'd contact the police.

Just make sure you don't use the 999 number. They will not appreciate that :D

And if you think you'll get in trouble for entering the building, phone Crimestoppers. It's anonymous.

I'd have thought it was a better idea to contact the RSPB than the police. I don't recognise the type of bird exactly but they look more like some form of goose or swan than anything more domesticated. if they're a wild bird the RSPB will know if it's best to re-house them or leave them where they are.

Bratty, I'd advise you not to go to the building again. If the parents think there are people in and around the building frequently they may abandon the nest leaving the young to fend for themselves.

I'd say you were better off contacting the electricity company rather than the Police.

I think they might just put high voltage signs up because it's the only thing that people actually take any notice of.

It looks like either a hydroelectric plant or more likely a pumping station that was stripped out decades ago. It didn't look like anything was turning so there's no electric in there now I'm pretty sure.

Mention that you think that you saw some squatters looking at the place.

Dammit! My Bratty trap didn't fire. I was hoping to capture him in an abandoned sub station by p,acting some baby birds as bait. I could then raid his storage unit for broken crap to sell for inflated amounts in the shop I'm planning for Notting Hill. :-(
