I did lose the paper part of my license some time ago. For various reasons I decided it would be a good idea to get it replaced. 20 quid. OK. So I go through the online thing and it gets to a certain point and says 'because your passport is more than five years old, we can't use the photo on it for your license, sorry'. So I have to renew my passport (which, to be fair, runs out in two months) which costs 70 quid, to renew my driving license, which costs 20 quid? Really? Thanks. Note: I don't have to supply a new photo when I renew my passport. Jon

Just before I went to uni, I took several lots of passport sized photos. Something like 12 in total (three lots of 4) and each time I went, I wore a different top. I still have some left over. I could theoretically send a passport photo from ten years ago (no real change TBH) and because it shows me wearing a different top, it should work.
That's my plan for the driving license photocard renewal this year anyway

More fail today.
My left headlight failed last night. Then whilst driving the right one failed. So I had to drive with sidelights and foglights until I got home. Passed two police cars which was scary as I was expecting to be pulled over but wasn't.
Swapped the main beam and dipped on the right so I could at least have dipped (tend not to use mainbeams) but the left one was blocked by the cold air intake. So had to remove the filters, one of which looks like it was installed the wrong way round at some point and I'm now concerned about crap that might've entered the engine (too late to worry TBH), and cleaned the filters. Managed to swap the bulbs on the left too now.

It could be that you drive in London so cannot get above 8 mph so no risk of speeding tickets.

I don't. I get the train. Can't remember the last time I drove in London. I live on the outskirts near the country.

I'm sure I went through a red light this morning.

I've been through a red light twice - both on distraction by a passenger. Thankfully no cameras.
EDIT: That makes it sound like I just ignored the signal - it was on green on approach and turned amber during distraction, then too late to brake (would have stopped in middle of junction).

They'd have probably spotted one broken light, but would have thought you were running your two lights like to look cool.

In all honesty it's a boy racer/chav thing to run with foglights only. Am very surprised they didn't pull me over.

Most of Friday, our company website and a few others we have hosted on behalf of our clients, went offline. Contacted the IT company we use to host these domains and were told that some maintenance went wrong and that they were going to restore all domains from a backup. They came back online briefly on Friday afternoon, just before I left for the day, so I uploaded something that was required by our client urgently and went home. Though I've been checking the sites over the weekend and they've been offline a few times and really slow to load graphics in. Visiting that same URL this morning and it gets forwarded to a porn site - and not just your average porn site, either... it's animal porn!!! I assume the real reason why the servers were taken offline was because they were, in fact, hacked - not a maintenance problem at all. Currently shouting at this IT company to get this stopped. I could do without this on a Monday morning, I really could. I need to forward this link onto our clients this morning and currently it forwards to an animal porn site!! I need to go and scrub my eye balls now...

I feel for you. Though was the site because you did not provide sufficient protection or that by the IT company?

Well, as all the sites hosted on that server were down on Friday, that implies they knew about some issue with security - but I'll find out later on today. My main issue is to get rid of this redirect first, then point the finger once we know who's at fault!
I think it's Nativespace that the IT company use to host their customers' sites. So, if anyone else uses Nativespace, you might want to check on your site too!!

Moi. Had a few errands to run. Plan was to finish with a pizza from the hut. Went past dominos on the way. It took me 50 mins to get back to dominos because there was no parking next to pizza hut and when I did find it, the ovens hadn't been turned on despite it having been open since midday.
