I'm something similar, but I've ordered it off eBay to read in work as I'm nearly finished the Steve Jobs biog.

Meh, DC title. Rarely a good movie adaptation.

Mickey Rourke in Sin City 2 Talks

Mickey Rourke is in talks to reprise his role as Marv in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
by Chris Tilly AUGUST 7, 2012

With Marv playing a central part in the second Sin City book A Dame to Kill For, fans have been wondering if Mickey Rourke would reprise the role in Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez’s forthcoming film adaptation.

And while rumours have been circulating that he definitely will be starring, it's only today that we've had any kind of update, with Deadline reporting that Rourke is currently in negotiation to top-line Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (which takes place before the events of the first film).

And if that’s not enough Mickey Rourke news for one day, the actor-turned-boxer-turned-actor is also in talks to join Gerard Butler in Motor City.

Albert Hughes will direct the revenge thriller, with both films set to hit in 2013.

I fully expect this film to be crap tbh, but I'll watch it just for the cast :o

Here's Loom, a 20 minute short directed by Luke Scott and produced by Ridley Scott.

Quote:
Luke Scott in cooperation with RED Camera presents "LOOM". A film shot completely in 4K format in the tone and style of Ridley Scott's dystopian Blade Runner. The film was originally intended to help showcase the prototype REDray 3D laser player. The film was constructed for 3D, the film needed to push the limits of the cameras exposure sensitivity and colour range and 4K projection. Visually the film is unmatched to date in it's use of RED's new technology.

There's also a link to a higher resolution version.

4k films/clips are next to useless as there's very few things that can display them properly.
Currently waiting for Loom to load in YouTube.

I have to be honest, as a film... you're not missing much.

It's good, and uses a lot of subjects I've read about in The Week recently!

*Spoilers*

Can genes be proprietary if you've adapted them?

Would we ever be able to efficiently make and sell synthetic meat?

*End of spoilers*

ION, The Avengers is getting rereleased in the States at least with Marvel saying ' "Don't forget to stay through the credits..."'. Whether or not that's something added on...

I recommend seeing it on the big screen if you missed it before, assuming it gets rereleased here too. Though it is out on disc etc in a few weeks or so :)

The only thing I was aware of them getting (it wasn't in the European cut apparently) was a scene of the team eating shawarma.

Yeah, that's why I'm wondering if this is something new or not. I've pre-ordered (sorry Heather) it anyway, so...
