Apart from when it came to making Eyes Wide Shut. Somebody really should have stepped in and told him that what he was doing really wasn't that good. (8+) Mark

There's rumblings that Ben's reps have denied any association between him and this project. Mark

I'm half-expecting to see John Stewart as Green Lantern, thinking about it. It would certainly get around the Ryan Reynolds problem, even have the potential for tying into each other if handled right.

Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye character wasn't what he actually signed up to: http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2012/08/ ... d-more/#/0It's a good interview (needs to be read in context too, some media outlets are doing a Daily Fail with it) that also covers his other work.

Is that because of all the pretenders to the throne that appeared after it? There's a great X-Files film out there (no pun intended), I just wish Fox would have the balls to make it. Mark

No, I just mean it reminds me of the 90's, the sort of thing where almost everybody you knew was watching it*. But what do you think riffed on it? * I seem to remember giving up around the time Mulder found a container load of alien corpses in the hunt for his sister

I can only think of the one title off the top of my head, and that's Roswell. I think I only saw a few eps of season one but it just struck me as a teen X-Files. Mark

Never really watched them, but I've seen it's influence in everything from Millennium to Lost...

Millennium was a truly wonderful show. While it kinda-sorta dealt with a monster-of-the-week, it also had a much bigger theme (one that Bratty would probably approve of!). It was never really an X-Files wannabe though. It certainly dealt with conspiracies but it never dealt with the mysteries of otherworldly means, it was almost always human evil that was at the root of the story. It was like the anti X-Files, if anything. Mark
