digging in a new spot today, just a random spot away from where I usually dig, didnt expect to find anything atall, first encountered 100's of ww2 batterys, confused why there are so many in one place:

also got a 1942 dated place which I haven't photographed yet :( but the thing im curious about is this metallic thing that was a hook sticking out the ground where I was digging, so I yanked it out and its got me intrigued what it is: its about 1meter long with 3 hooks:

First looks like it might be a chain harrow, the second some sort of fan with a baffle or filter attached.

The top one looks like shotgun shells etc.

I'm sure it won't be though.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

The horseshoe is rusty all the way through. Wire wool or a steel brush may get the surface crap off it. However, the rust will be in the metal and will continue to erode it.

You could possibly rescue the horse using a carbon rod as an anode, and do some snazzy electrolysis to it.

Mind you, I'm recommending here that Bratty plays with a bucket of highly alkaline water and a DC power supply. What could go wrong?

Can you define 'wrong'?

You turn up some interesting stuff, Bratty. However, given your area of interest, I can't help feeling that one day the planet with get another small crater, and we won't hear from you again.

I hope you're aware of the obvious dangers.
