My normal overground train from Highbury to Richmond was not running this morning. What a good start for the Olympics as it's the line to Stratford.

That's the pretty much the route (in reverse) I'm currently taking very frequently, to get from Kentish Town to the new place. It best be working before I'm back down in the smoke this afternoon...

I'm still waiting for you to tell me when you're free as last time you were about to go on training last time we discussed it.

Hop on a train to Richmond. I'm here all day.

Sadly not. I don't go that far, just Kentish Town to Highbury & Islington, and then north on the FCC service. The Richmond route is only used for rugby-watching purposes.

why not? all my firearms are fully legal ;) they are 8mm blank firers (exept my walther P99 that uses 9mm PAK blank firing ammo , the gun itself was bought few years ago AFTER VCR act so It it painted two tone colours), unmodified in any way, locked in a safe place out of sight and used fully responsibly etc. I have an agreement with the police that I must not stop in any towns/public places etc when I take them to farms or private land etc when transporting and I have adhered? to that agreement throughout 8-)

I'm sure I had a toy gun when I was a kid that fired things like that. It had a bloody heavy trigger.

If we are talking gun stories, I almost inherited a WWII Leuger. Something along this line:
Image

The gun was part of my dad's uncle's collection of stuff he obviously acquired during the war. He didn't think his kids would appreciate this stuff, but thought I would.

Needless to say, the gun never found it to my tender care. I did get his service knife, and a leaflet that was dropped on the Germans from aircraft. I am not sure what happened to the gun - it was a good 30 years ago when this was going on. I guess it went to a museum or was handed to the police.

I have mixed feeling about all of this. I'm not sure I'd want a gun, but at the same time, I like the styling of that particular weapon, and the fact that I was deemed more trustworthy to keep it meant a lot to my dad. I guess he didn't want me having a gun though.

On the black market, I'm guessing? Or are they deactivated?

The Daily Fail as usual...

Five of the best... anti-viral products
Anti-viral products are a useful method of protecting yourself from colds and flu and they now come in a variety of forms from wipes to sprays.

Used regularly, they are a great way of stopping the spread of viruses in and around the home, school and workplace - and the most effective will kill the bacteria that cause viruses from swine flu and SARS down to the common cold.

Yes that's right - viruses are caused by bacteria! No wonder all those people keep coming in for antibiotics for viral illnesses if this is what the media is teaching them!
