In this case it suggests a right angle turn, several metres of travel (through the loft), and a flappy vent in the end wall of the house.
Due to the weird design of our house with its odd roof and drain pipe layout, we can't just have an extractor that goes through the wall.
The fan has a high flow rate, but not a good static pressure. The pressure drop through the roof is too much for it.
I guess it's the same as Custom PC recommending a high static pressure fan for water cooling radiators as there's more resistance than just using it to vent the case.

Ah, gotcha. My parents had a similar problem with long ducting and a flappy thing.

Racist would be my guess

I did flirt with the idea of saying I'd bought a Steve Jobs action figure

I would say the best thing was the TouchPal app for my Android phone, but it's free.

Fail on my part. I actually thought you had said you were toying with the idea of a Steve Jobs action figure!

An old-fashioned dip pen with several nibs and some black dipping ink.

Fabulous :ugeek:

I'm serious hoping this falls into the best category; I hate buying mice online but there's really nowhere else:

I bought the Imperator. Went down to PCworld and took the Razer boxes to the checkout where they opened each one for me and allowed me to try each one to see how it would fit in my hand. Absolutely awesome.

I did actually wander down to the local PC World as mice are one of the few things that it's good to try out. No Razer at all, only some dirt cheap Logitech and HP offerings. Very disappointing.

New transmission mount arrived today. :D
Hoping this will cure the slight droning noise I've had at about 55-60mph.

A bottle of 25 year old Glen Ord.
Thankfully the missus hasn't noticed how much I spent on it.

My car has the same problem, but I discovered it's actually Best Beloved complaining that I'm going too fast!

*gets coat*
