Bratty, that's a very disturbing story. I recently saw a patient who was in a controlling relationship where the boyfriend was paranoid about who she was seeing/talking to. If it was any male friends, he'd quickly become aggressive. It soon extended to female friends, and then family. It got to the point where she couldn't leave the house, she couldn't speak to or see anyone. She would secretly speak to family members (who knew nothing about her situation) when her boyfriend was out but tha was it. Otherwise he would beat her.
Please make sure your friend is safe.

Doesn't sound too far from it! You're listed as a female name, you have to leave before he arrives home, she can't be honest about speaking to you - these are not normal things.

You don’t know what his reaction would be if he knew what you have told us though. That’s the what you have to be careful of.

Those AutoGlass ads are getting worse - they either messed up the recording of the ad I just heard, or they're deliberately inserting split-second 'core message' bits, cos it didn't sound right at all

Neither is seeing them everyday for months. Don't take the way the behave with you as the way they behave with others.

I'm at this time as I have to pick up my wife from the airport. Thankfully the airport is only half an hour away. I've just caught part of 3-2-1. The prize was a Mk2 Fiesta. It's that old! The couple didn't win.

Got bitten by mosquitoes - being allergic the bites grew in angry, inflamed areas. Went to the pharmacy and asked for the only cream that I can use on bites, an anti-inflammatory called Parfenac/Parfederm. They'd never head of it. So I asked for any creams with bufexamac/ diclofenac in them. Nothing. Got given the usual sting relief cream. Skin is now swollen and blotchy and no improvement at all. I might have to go see a GP to treat a couple mosquito bites. wonderful.

Do you not have a walk in A&E you could use if it's (relatively) important?

I imagine it's something that varies between PCTs; our A&E also has a walk-in GP service attached to it. Everyone gets triaged in the same fashion and then gets assigned either to that or the conventional A&E channels.
