Eh? Why can't Potts play himself? I can't even begin to comprehend why someone fairly famous is to play someone marginally famous when the latter is still alive...

I can't comprehend why a film is being made about the winner of a talent show. Maybe it's just me :?

Depends on his story really.
And yes, it's got to be worth getting in a proper actor.

LOL at the arguments on there about scaling. Have we really gone so far backwards?

Resolution independence was part of Windows application design going all the way back to 2.01 (my first) and possibly earlier. It's always bugged the hell out of me how lazy or darn right stupid designers are to ignore it. It's actually illegal in many cases where it leads to accessibility issues for people with less than perfect sight.

You used units of measurement known as TWIPS (twentieth of a point) which scaled correctly along with the font when you change the screen settings. The result being that any application can be displayed at any scale on any screen in full resolution with no "pixel doubling", and all the writing will fit in all the boxes.

+1 I always mad my software scalable.

My current employers ERP system takes it to the other extreme, it is designed for 1024x758 displays and scales up - that means that, instead of seeing more on a 1920x1200 screen, you just get jumbo boxes with jumbo text! Great for those with limited vision, not so good if you want to see more than the first 15 characters of a product description. :?

So long as you were talking about music or something around it, or at least asked 'would this be your sort of thing?'. Knowing you, you've been speaking Mandarin or whatever to her anyway. It's all good :)

Just bought a SONY ERICSSON XPERIA PRO off eBay (couldn't get it anywhere else really, and I won't tolerate touchscreens on phones), so we'll see how that goes...
