Nice, and I appreciate that's probably an official pic, but would you stick a spoiler tag or whatever on anything TDKR related from now on? I hate to ask, but the film's a year away and we're already getting shots and descriptions of big action scenes :(

Oh noes, I've seen some of the new suits. :P

I've seen the batcopter, the bat cycle, Bane talking, stuff blowing up.
I can give you a precis of the movie now if you'd like it?
Avoid the cinemas then, because you'll HATE the trailer for it.

This is my cinema problem. Every person I know with an interest in the trilogy has gone out of their way to avoid the trailers, spots, sizzle reels... The film's gonna make a billion dollars, do we really need countless tidbits that will do nothing but lessen the film's impact for many? :|

You can't avoid it. I just watched Microsoft's presentation at E3 (a chuffing GAMES conference, for cripes sake) and what was right in the middle of it? A sodding Prometheus spoiler.

What, from a guy on stage? I'm assuming they didn't randomly show something :?

They were demoing a Windows 8/Xbox feature. You have a tablet and you're watching a film on it. You decide you'd rather watch it on your big TV, so you 'throw' it (not literally) onto the screen and on the tablet the running copy of the film gets replaced with extra data - like interactive versions of the added features in DVDs. It's like Apple AirPlay but with extra bits.

Bloke doing the demo says something like 'Ok, now we're going to show you how this works' and the example film they used? Prometheus. They didn't announce it as being Promoetheus though, so it took me about 30 seconds to realise that was what it actually was.

Bastards.

Yeah, I wouldn't have been too pleased! That really is crap, especially for a film just out on release.

I wouldn't be able to concentrate around that thing, I'd just continually walk around it, studying it :)

OH! But wait. If that is true, then it can’t be. Why? Well, Trek 11 rebooted from the point of the USS Enterprise launch. However, what IS still in canon is Star Trek: Enterprise. In that series, the Klingons had some problem which could only be solved by using human DNA. This had the effect of removing the ridges (thus giving a good reason for the original series not having ridged Klingons). The ridges came back sometime between the end of TOS and Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Enterprise is still in canon as Archer and his beagle were mentioned, by none other than Scotty and Kirk.
