Thankfully not.

Had that before from either DHL or City Link when they were rubbish locally

As per my monthly Tweet:

Fridge was running at 15C on full because of the heat so I *modified* it.

Now it's at -8C and everything is frozen.

Is that a success or a fail..?

Uhm maybe it's JJ's freezer, he's mistaken, and he's shut the door? ;)

There's a drip tray under the ice box, which I removed. I also removed the door from the icebox. Since the stat and most of the cooling fins are in the icebox, the entire fridge is now attempting to be a freezer...

That's not a fridge, it's a very large case for an overclocked PC ;)

Halo UNSC Logo Mistakenly Used for United Nations in BBC Broadcast

Look: We all make mistakes, but that doesn’t make them any less amusing. This time, someone in the BBC’s research department must have been running pretty fast and loose with the Google image search because he or she pulled this logo of the United Nations Space Command from Halo instead of the actual United Nations logo for a broadcast on violence in Syria.

The BBC report from last Thursday focuses on criticism from Amnesty International leveled against the U.N. security council — which, coincidentally — would be “U.N.S.C..” This really does appear to be just be a case of poor common sense in Googling. Searching for United Nations Security Council pulls up pictures of delegates at curved tables and the official website. “UNSC,” on the other hand is all Halo.

While accidents do happen, it’s notable that nearly all of the images returned for a search of UNSC contain pictures of fantastical spaceships. One would think that would set off some alarm bells, unless this is a very, very clever prank perpetrated by someone disinterested in job security. I suppose we’ll never know.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but be wary of tinned fizzy pop then (unlike my workplace)...

Carpet fitters fail.
They've just cut through a sensor cable and set the alarm off. They'll have to fix it before I can reset the tamper warning.

Received my email today... Raspberry Pi can be ordered. Tried it on the mobile and... it didn't bloody work. I reported it and have just received a reply. I'll try again later and let you know how I get on.

Edit to add: I'm on the main PC so can add more details. I was using the mobile to order the Pi, but the telephone number box didn't allow me to enter any information, even though it was mandatory. I tried on the laptop but I got an invalid code message, because I'd already used the activation code they emailed me... I was advised in the reply to the email I sent them to leave it an hour and try again. I did, on the main PC, and now I haz Pi... at least I will when they dispatch it, which will be in about 6 weeks...

Turns out to be a fail on the website, but a happy ending for me. :D

Asda's tragic 10pm online groceries cut-off (and you can't just outright cancel the order), and the fact that I forgot all about it after thinking about it all day in work :x
