4 x Opteron 6166HE cpu's on Ebay

Got a good price and they came from USA in only a few days.

Was a project I was thinking about to build a 48-core folding rig.

Only when cpu's had come did I realise the total cost - mobo (£650), ram (£300), case (£150), PSU (£200), Os (£450) at which point I promptly sold them on on eBay.

Made £150 profit though which should pay the import duty (I hope!)

500GB Seagate SATA HDD

I know it's old tech for you, Martin, but for me it's easily the largest and fastest HDD I've had

It's fabulous - I have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much space. 8-)

It did, however, confirm that I do have a crap CPU in the sh*ttiest motherboard in the world; so crap in fact that ASRock were forced to stop selling it as Vista-suitable. It won't boot from SATA. :x

I think we'll get her the V-Tech Kiddizoom Twist (in pink) but my worry is now she's handled a 'grown-up' camera she'll look at it and be like "WTF is that?"

Funnily enough I had my DSLR on the table yesterday and when Emily saw it she reached out to grab it at the same time as saying "Emily's camera."

The nephew had a similar toy camera if not that model - it's easier to use a real compact

A case for my Kindle - removed the Kindle from it to discover the dye had bled all over the back of it, and that 80% ethanol has no effect on it :x :x :x

My Coke is now even more awesome. Also, the nephew will love them.

That would have been cooler if it was just the logo cut out without the oval surround.

I've seen just that on American sites, but the oval sets off the symbol nicely, especially with a dark drink. Also, my room's always warm, so the thicker the ice the better!
