Yeah, Bratty. You want to try driving round London for a bit. Then you'd see how courteous people can be.

I've driven occasionally around the city, and I'm always remarking to my passengers how other drivers wave and give friendly gestures, love to compliment me on my driving skill, all the while serenading me with their vehicle's horn.

Yep, having driven from North of Inverness (more northern than you Bratty), to as far South as London, they are certainly more polite up North.

+1 for you not driving until you have had more lessons to, esp as far as following the highway code when driving.

You need to stop using generalisations when describing folks then adding words like 'scum' or 'human filth'. Remember, I'm from Moray and have failed to let someone out from a situation like you describe above. It doesn't however make me 'scum' or 'human filth'. Unless you know the full story then don't generalise and for goodness sake stop referring to peeps from other areas of the UK as foreign  . Oh, and I'm not miserable - far from it.

Incidentally, all my friends from the south (England) inform me as to how courteous the drivers are up here.

aha but ive seen you drive on quite a number of occasions and I can safely say you are not a "moray" driver

Im fed up though seeing these drivers act the way they do here, its horrible and makes my blood curl :(

oi I live at the same northerly level as Inverness (only about an hours drive away) but Inverness people (in general as always mind) are really friendlier people, the vibe in the city is good and the accent is good too. I think London less polite cos I remember my dad saying to get anywhere in London you HAVE to "barge" your way in places if that makes sense?

Yes but I said North of Inverness, and London is not the only southern place where it is quite rude

You certainly have to be a bit more proactive when deploying your vehicle down here. I’m not sure if “barging” is the right word. You need to be more alert and quick with the brakes* and gas at times.

* Brakes - the middle pedal. You know - the one that stops you accidentally driving into fields ;)

Neither am I, but the common sense pedal has yet to be invented.

Didn't you see the item in the rules about attending the "comedy for non-comedians" course?
