If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Oh great [/sarcasm]
Now the external phone lines have gone dead just as I was halfway through telling my wife I wouldn't be home tomorrow.
She probably thinks I hung up on her.

Were you born then? I fail to see the significance of this year. Other than that I was 16 then.

The Danes love fireworks for NYE and I've just heard the loudest bang ( and I've heard a few loud ones ;) from a home display yet. It wouldn't surprise me if I hear sirens from all three emergency services in the near future.

Just wondering, when we should give the dog the knock-out drops.

I was out walking him a few minutes ago and several people were letting off bangers and he is now freaking out. :( Why can't they wait until midnight? Technically it is illegal to let them off before this evening, but nobody care and nobody does anything about it. :(

The gf hasn't been in Denmark for NYE for 4 years now. She's surprised by the amount of fireworks being let off early. In the last couple of days I've seen many youths letting them off outside supermarkets and petrol stations. At least in my day I had the courtesy and foresight to ignite far from houses and inflammables. </getting old>

In Oz there are no public sales of fireworks. You know exactly when and where displays will be happening and can plan for domestic and commercial animals appropriately.

It would be nice if you could trust Joe Public to be sensible and limit themselves to specific times, and yet you appear draconian if you take away their freedoms.

I read that thinking "I've not heard any fireworks around here" and moved onto the next thread...

...just as the fireworks started around here
