Frodo was a fraud. Sam did all the work and Frodo failed.

How awesome it is seeing my friend home for Christmas for the first time in 2 years, and what a genuinely nice guy she's engaged to.
Last night's meal was amazing. :)

First proper cold water dive tomorrow. Around 2-3 degrees, and may have to knock a little hole in the ice depending on which lake we go to. Give it a couple more weeks and I'll be able to do some proper ice diving.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

The ration between Candice Swanepoel's hips/waist.
I'm almost certain it's approaching 1.61803399.

There's too much stupid in the world.

I think we should start a campaign to eradicate stupid in 2012.

There's a (mediocre) film you may like on that theme, Heather, called Idiocracy.

Yup. That's a northern hemisphere winter for you. Still, the days will be drawing out now, as we've passed the winter solstice. ;)

I was the only one in the office (of secretaries and receptionists) who knew the significance of that yesterday!

I have a definite problem this time of year, because I have this psychological block about getting out of bed in the morning while it's still dark. 99% of the time that's not really a problem, but this week down my way dawn seems to have been about 9.30...

Yeah, about 6pm here too and it's been 23 degrees today. Forecast is for more warmth and blue skies towards the middle of next week. Lush.

As for the other thing, I'll be back at the hotel tomorrow morning, maybe I'll bump into her....

Thanks for all the awesome advice and comments. Especially leeds and prof.
