Iron Man 3

Quote:
Iron Man 3 is probably the best script I've read in five years, which is so funny. I mean, things have come so full circle that a genre superhero movie can actually be the most artistic bit of writing I read. But I think The Avengers is something a lot of the fans are really looking forward to, so I'm excited about that. The third Iron Man to me is an opportunity to go back to the kind of storytelling and character exploration that made the first one good.

I bought a couple of DVDs the other night.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes... really good film. Enjoyed every minute of it. I then rented Planet of the Apes (2001) which is shocking. Seriously, don't watch it.

Anyway, I also bought Super 8. Another really good film!

I really wanted to watch this at the cinema but no one else did and didn't want to see it alone. Do you reckon it's worth buying on blu-ray?

Seems to be £15 everywhere, and there's the steelbook edition for £18 at Play:

Why do they have to do remakes?

The original 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' (2009) was a great film, as were the other two original Swedish films in the trilogy. Why do they have to an English language version?

It's the same with Wallander and The Killing series, I mean why? Just why?

Because a large portion of the moviegoing audience doesn't do 'foreign'.

New trailer for This Must Be The Place

Sean Penn's rocker goes Nazi hunting

http://www.totalfilm.com/news/new-trail ... -the-place

Either that's a very badly cut trailer, or that film's just plain odd :)

This is simply a statement of fact. Is this a documentary or something?

Hey everybody, the American Akira is dead! Again!

The project [...] is being shut down in the face of casting and budgetary issues. The production offices in Vancouver are being closed, with below-the-line talent and crew told to stop working. "Everybody is being sent home," according to an insider [...]

[With] Kristen Stewart, Ken Watanabe and Helena Bonham Carter in various stages of dealmaking, the studio feels that the price tag is still too high for a sci-fi project with that level of star wattage. The goal, say insiders, is to bring the budget down to between $60 million and $70 million.

All 22 James Bond films are coming to Blu-ray

http://www.totalfilm.com/news/all-22-ja ... to-blu-ray

You'd need to be a properly dedicated fan/buying it at a knockdown price/receiving it as a gift IMO
