I have to be honest, I don't miss the flame wars either. I was involved in a lot of them but they seemed to cover the same old ground. It used to be a bit of fun, mainly to get a rise out of marklarr, but I don't have the energy anymore. The atmosphere here is nice, I like it.

Vista had EFi support when it was released as well. ;)

No it didn't, that's just completely wrong.

Naa, spare time - costs nothing.
In fairness, Ubuntu works pretty much the way I want it from the off, whereas Windows takes close to a day to get sorted.

There's nothing quite like a fresh install of XP though. It's really nice and snappy. Shame it doesn't last!

Sorry, after SP 1, my mistake and only 64-bit version. Which is why a lot of manufacturers are using a BIOS emulation layer on their EFi boards...

You mean in its useless, driver-less form? XP and no wifi support FTL (not until SP2 anyway!), crap default drivers FTL etc etc. ;)

Funny, I had assumed that the flame wars had stopped because you had all come to the conclusion that I was right all along. I presumed that you were all saving up for your first Mac.
