How fast that I can reset a Time Capsule! Two minutes and have a 50 digit disk password set up. So now backing up everything.

I now have a 148.48Gb update to back up.

There was a FireFox update a while back that did this, within hours of the problem being announced. However, you can check Firefox on any OS by following these instructions:

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/del ... ar-ca-cert

Please note, the problem can be self-inflicted by accepting a certificate in the first place. It will happen again the next time you blindly click the "yes please rape me" button without reading or understanding what it says.

I agree. I prefer to be safe rather than sorry. When my machines were running slowly I contacted my ISP and they did a line check which seemed fine but I decided to check my Time Capsule wireless settings and see it that was a problem. Later that night it all got back to normal after 8 hours barely able to register a connection. So clearly not my equipment or settings. They did suggest could something else be using my connection? I have little snitch running and have it on aggressive settings.

That the IFA (Berlin tech trade show) has a delightful 'Miss IFA':

(Make your own jokes there)

Just like the show itself, she's an annual event :D

It's surprisingly difficult to eat oxtail with just a fork. Makes it even more fiddly than rabbit, which is saying something.

If you highlight a word in Chrome, then middle click the "new tab" button, it automagically searches for the highlighted text! (may only work in Linux?)

I learned that foreign England REALLY is foreign England. just back from a week of touring foreign England, its like scotland but all the scottishness removed and replaced with asian/black/jamaican culture with no room for native white english. fascinating really, at Leicester nearly all shops are asian or caribbean, everyone walking around was coloured and very hard to spot whites. very strange country.

You really shouldn't base opinion on just one part of the country. It's like my assumption all Scots wear a kilt, play the bagpipes and eat nothing but wild haggis while riding red deer stags.
