Very good, lots of action. Shame Button couldn't continue as two, three car battles would have been good.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

It was! Cracking race - shame Massa / Ferrari couldn't keep Vettel behind him though.

I think that was the most exciting race so far this season. Great result too.

I'm not feeling the delight Barbara. And I think it's a stretch to say F1 is remaining on the BBC. How??? How is this fantastic news for F1 fans??? Bastards.

It's not like you can find it 'elsewhere' as no doubt the current commentary team will be split up. The beeb had a great package and it will go to waste as a result.

To be honest, I think it would have been much better if they'd just come out and said "we can't afford it, we don't want to pay for it, this is what we can afford to do". Rather than this ham-fisted attempt to make it sound like good news. F1 is a technical sport, it needs a certain level of brains to understand. The people who might have been taken in by such an obvious attempt at damage control aren't watching F1 in the first place. In reality all it's done is add insult to injury. Jon

I want to know what happened to the Concorde Agreement that said F1 must bebroadcast free-to-air.
This breaks that agreement by putting it behind the pay wall that is Sky.
I'm not happy about this one bit. Will it be on a channel that's available on Virgin?
If not then it means having a sh*tty ADSL line to watch it which is even worse.

Undoubtedly the BBC will wriggle out of it by saying F1 is still being broadcast free to air and there's no requirement for all of it to be there, and highlights are enough for those races it doesn't cover live. I can't imagine there's anyone outside Sky who is, frankly. I would suspect so yes, but probably not in HD. Jon

Oh @rse!! Well, I'm certainly not giving Murdoch any of my money, so looks like I will miss half of the races. B@stards! I'm not happy about this one little bit. ...and it seems Martin Brundle isn't exactly happy either. He's just tweeted this...

Gutted.
No way am I coughing up for a Sky Sports subscription, so I'll miss half the races too.
I don't want highlights, I don't even want the full race to be televised later in the day. I want to watch it live and not have the experience spoiled by some pillock texting me with "ooh what a result for Vettel, shame Button broke down" etc.. before I've had a chance to see the action.
The Beeb has what is widely regarded as the best F1 coverage team on the planet - I can't see them maintaining that with only half the coverage. It wouldn't surprise me if Sky start poaching them for it's own team.
