Came across the term digiscoping today so read up on it. I now wonder whether I'd be able to take a decent pic of the moon with a compact.

There will almost always be a work around for using a camera with a telescope.

I took some reasonable pics of the moon a couple of year back with a standard DSLR with a 70-300 lens and a decent tripod. It was near ideal conditions, but I didn't need a telescope.

I've seen some really good shots done just like that. I'm sure Google will find you loads of tips. I've been thinking about it myself; I keep looking over the reflectors for sale on eBay but I just can't get enough inches for my wad

Johnny Depp made $350 million off of the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Yes the film probably earned the studio very little. Such are the terms of any artist contracts that they usually get a percentage on the gross, rather than on the net which means that the film could take years to be profitable.

I got one of these for my magic mouse. Once you get into the habit of using it, it's fine.

It looks brilliant but I'm not sure I can justify the almost £50 price tag.

By the way does anyone know of a suitable (i.e. it both works and matches the aesthetic of the Mac) USB hub as the 4 ports are full!

Thanks for that. I will get one at some point. I have made a note for future reference.

Re. the battery thing - I have one of these that I use with some of these.
Saving me a small fortune and better for the environment.

As for USB hubs, I use a Toshiba thingamajig which is mostly black with some green LEDs. It's not handsome, but it works and it's tucked well out of the way behind hard drives and a printer.

Did you know that you can't safely use chicken wire to enclose chickens? I didn't. Apparently you have to use the galvanised, coated stuff otherwise foxes can bite right through it!!
