A Channel is looking like a 7.2 but it's a very enjoyable watch and there's still time for development. I'm looking forward to the next episode, which is the important thing!

HnA started off with me thinking it was good but nothing special, but it's really growing on me. Just watched ep 5 which was a simple enough story, but the way the relationships develop is really good for this kind of show. It doesn't hurt that Aria is a composite of pretty much all my favourite characters!

Random fact: seeing Aria made me nearly buy a model of Yami from Toloveru, but £200 for the one I wanted meant I am still without any figures bigger than 5cm lol.

Roll on episodes 6 !

You're right about A-Channel, i've watched a few more episodes and whilst it's decent, i don't think it's quite worth an 8 as i don't find it as consistently funny as most shows.

As for HnA, i liked the characters and the premise, however not quite with the happenings in the latest episode. The one thing that i dislike is how the "romance" per se is almost pre-determined (between Kinji and Aria)... it almost makes the other girls irrelevant (and Shirayuki seems so awesome , Childhood friend? check. Shrine Maiden? check. Katana? check. Cute Jealous Rage? check. - awesome.)

Funnily enough i also gave Toradora a 9... but i think it's more of an 8.5, was actually considering downgrading it along with Darker than Black (first season) since i think over time their impact has degraded. As for Shakugan no Shana, you really should! I believe it's pretty much defined Kugimiya Rie's style to which everyone else is now compared (Louise, Nagi, Taiga, Aria etc.) it's also pretty much a classic in terms of Shounen series, the plot wasn't too bad and the animation style still looks very current. Apparently they're finally making the 3rd Season as well to come out later in the year.

Also from what i've been reading, Nichijou or Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san should/could be something you'd enjoy.

Nichijou is also similar to A-Channel/Lucky Star in that it's Slice of Life revolving around a bunch of schoologirls however it's slightly more... quirky/random/not so rooted in "reality". I personally didn't like it as much but that's not to say you wouldn't.

Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san is supposed to be the funniest show of the season with deadpan/slapstick humour likened to Level E/Mitsudomoe which is why i thought it might interest you.

So after complaining that there wasn't enough Shirayuki in HnA, we get a nice episode (and arc it seems) devoted to her. Awesome.

Also after watching more A-Channel, one thing i'm noticing is a lot of static images with Insert Songs... it's a sign of trying to keep costs down and whilst i understand that producing anime is expensive, it kind of shows.

Well, another season is coming to an end. I've just finished:

A-Channel, gave it an 8 although that was generous. All the characters were good and the relationships were interesting, but it was a bit lack-lustre. Still, nice ending gave it closure and I'm happy to have watched it.

C - this one I picked up recently and it's over already. I gave it a 7. It's quite serious and the fighting is very, err, colourful. Although it's a really original story with an interesting message, I confess I found it a bit confusing. Perhaps it's more deserving and I'd get more from a second viewing, but I'm unlikely to!

I might well pick up Nichijou or Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san to tide me over to the new season, although I have a holiday coming up so I'll probably not be watching much for a couple of weeks. I actually have no idea if the place I'm staying has internets or a computer suitable for watching stuff on if it's raining outside

Why isn't there a box set of Bleach Series 6 out yet? The two parts of the series are already out.

I imagine they have to give people a chance to buy the second half so they can sell it twice.

Well YyAs didn't take long - they're 10 minute episodes! I have to say, it's really nothing like Mitsudomoe. It's extremely crude and rude in a way that would appeal to children. I can't say I'd recommend it really, although it did make me laugh.

As for Nichijou, i've actually seen the first episode so it's more just... random but in a somewhat sedentary pace.

Sorry for the lack of replies, i haven't really been keeping up with much anime (apart from Hoshizora) since a friend came home from Uni and we've been catching up.

Also, a new Season's coming out: clicky.

However not many have really caught my eye, although that does leave the possibility of a surprise/sleeper hit.

Although i need to catch up on the first season of Baka to Test.

I've added rather a lot to my "plan to watch" list and I expect it'll grow...

Most looking forward to Kami-sama no Memo-chou and Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. Bunny drop is a definite to try as well; it's either going to be awesome or boring...

Back to a "proper" Bleach storyline and not filler... and some new exciting twists and turns .

I know. That bount arc wasn't as good as the earlier stuff.

I didn't have time to do a mini-preview whilst busy with going back to Uni etc.

Anyhow,

I'm currently enjoying:

Mashiro-Iro Symphony - It's not amazing, but it feels my little niche of a laid back romantic comedy. Similar to Hoshizora from last season, it'll be about a 7.

Boku-wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai - At first i thought it seems rather similar to "Ore no Imouto" and i still stand by that, both in terms of style and humour. If you like that then i think you'd like this. Only seen 2 episodes so far and i think it'd be an 8... if it keeps getting better then i could easily change that to a 9.

Guilty Crown - And the winner for best OP of this season goes to here... can't wait for the single to be released. I'd also say that this series has quite a lot to live up to (it's pretty much the Anime to watch for the season and is rather high profile). Currently it's been rather good and seems to be on track... comparisons have been made to Code Geass and i think in terms of setting and overall plot then i agree, but it's missing the "thinking" and "strategy" element that made it so good. Overall it's currently a 9, i can't see it easily moving up to a 10 and i wouldn't be afraid to drop it to an 8 if i don't like where the story is going.

That's about it right now.

I only watched a fraction of the last season, and I'm yet to pick anything up this one yet. Hopefully I'll get time again soon because I get grumpy without my fix!

I probably have my "anime mates" staying next weekend, so that'll be a good chance to see what's what.

On the plus side, Hidan no Aria did have a nice ending. I gave it an 8.

I'm still only on ep. of Nichijou and it's been so long I'm going to have to skim ep. 6 first!

Finally meeting up with some friends tomorrow, so hopefully that will kick-start me into the new season
