Local will probably be Tory as that's the party I would vote for in a general election. European elections will be Lib Dem as they're the most pro-Europe.

I'm not able to vote this time, but if I could it would be Green.

The only thing I don't really like about them is the fact that they want to split the banks up. Other than that most of it seems very good.

It will be interesting, there are so many parties standing, that the ballot paper of over 1M long here!

This time (as in all previous occasions) I shall be putting a cross in each of the little boxes That way I shall vote for the winner, loser, runner-up, second runner-up etc.

Of course, my vote won't count...

I'm so disillusioned with politics and politicians that I think that this time, for the first time ever, I will stay at home and not bother walking the 600 yards to the polling station.

For someone who believes that voting should be mandatory for those eligible, that's a radical step.

Frankly I think there should be a 'none of the above but I do want a voice having bothered to turn out' box. I do find it a little rich when people moan endlessly about the council/government/EU/whatever but haven't bothered to vote. I suspect a box like this would singlehandly rather improve the turnout at elections. As for me it will be a 'spoil the ballot' like onemac or 'least worst' option choice. No council elections here in Scotland so probably LibDem or Green as a 'least worst'.

I once, long ago, saw a tv program about election candidates.

One was a guy dressed up in a Nun's habit and was going by the ticket of "Nun of the above".

I think it was in America (could be wrong) but he might have got my vote !

Well, if you want to know roughly who and which parties there are in your area then this might be of some use to you.
I'm spotting a lot of apparently anti-Europe candidates and a couple of scary religious ones in the Eastern region

I suspect that 'None of the Above' would do rather better than any politician would care to think about which is probably why it isn't an option.

For those who are wondering, it's cos Labour are starting to organise here in NI after effectively being made to after a court case - hence the Tory move.

I won't be voting at all since there isn't a candidate that I'd send to the shop for milk never mind to Europe, and my local voting station is in a community centre with ridiculously small doors - that'd be fun on polling day

I do have the option of voting for the delightful Katie Hopkins (of The Apprentice infamy) as she is standing as an independent. I won't of course, but it did at least make me chuckle when the leaflet came through the door.

Will probably end up voting either UKIP or Tory, depending on my mood.

Independent(s) for the locals (I would consider voting Lib Dem, but I'm not very happy with the current Lib Dem leadership at the Council, nor their handling of creating the Unitary Authority for Cornwall).

I'm voting for the Lib Dems in the Euro elections, they're making the right noises on civil liberties (and have done consistently), and I don't trust the Tories with either civil liberties or public money.

I doubt I'll ever, ever vote Liebour.

I've already posted my vote, because I'm too lazy to walk nearly a mile to the station and too green to drive.

For the locals, I voted Lib Dem. I've know the candidate personally for over 20 years, and see her down the pub every Friday. I'd have voted that way even if I didn't know any of them, but having faith in your local councillor to be honest, intelligent, knowledgeable and responsible is a big bonus.

For the Euros I voted Green. I'm vehemently pro-Europe and anti-fascist which rules out most of the options, and because it's PR they stand a good chance of taking a seat or two. Europe is the main force behind most of the green legeslation in recent years, and while I wouldn't trust the greens to run the country I do want their voice heard in Europe.

I couldn't bring myself to vote Tory even if they were seemingly the obvious choice. I'll never forgive them their past injustices. Likewise Labour.
