You want to be using llvm/clang these days. GCC's showing it's age.

Cucumbers and hard work are not good for you.

That's certainly one rumour going around Hamburg atm. The truth is that the authorities have no idea where it came from atm. I prefer CIC myself

You can have tonal, stress and register languages. Ours is a stress language, but that isn't a universal quality in languages:
I didn't take the test yesterday. (Somebody else did.) I didn't take the test yesterday. (I did not take it.) I didn't take the test yesterday. (I did something else with it.) I didn't take the test yesterday. (I took a different one.) I didn't take the test yesterday. (I took something else.) I didn't take the test yesterday. (I took it some other day.)
It got me thinking about how our brains do this, detect subtle changes in the speed and tone of words, when all they have is two vibrating bits of skin to provide the necessary information that someone is even speaking in the first place. It's so complex it's mind-boggling, and it happens in real-time, we don't even notice any of that processing going on. We can tell where on the planet another human grew up by listening to how they say just one word, imagine the amount of data that must have to be decoded in that one word, and imagine trying to write software to perform that same task.
That is all, time for bed.

The grill has an extra setting! We've had the gas cooker for maybe 15 years? Over 10 at any rate. I've used it countless times. I like to "slow grill" things like garlic bread and potato waffles to get them nice'n'crispy on the outside. I've always done this by putting the grill on the lowest setting. This is about half a turn and it "notches" into place. Have always believed medium heat to be between this and maximum setting. Turns out there's a setting below this "notched" one. The lowest setting before the grille flames extinguish. Entirely useful as I can cook pizza fingers without them needing a blast in the microwave afterwards.
