Is it just me or is there usually BIG warning signs for these companies prior to the biggest hacks? It's never gonna be a foolproof system, but it's also often obvious that they aren't taking it seriously either :evil:

I would imagine that the situation is similar at a number of large companies. IT has a low priority yet when you consider the impact of such a breach you would have thought that they would do a lot more to protect themselves. The problems is that IT is usually underfunded apart from hardware and so it is always too late.
