Hmm, WipeoutHD and Dead Nation for me. Not that I have time to play them! I've stopped buying games until I can clear my backlog of stuff I havent yet played/completed.

In fact (just popped into my head now) BFBC2 is going on ebay this week. I just CBA to put the time in to get to lvl50 as much as I love it.

I have neither of these, those will be on the list then.

That applies to me, even though I have not been affected by this. I will not be buying any games for a while.

'As well as' seems to be the general assumption. Given you'll have been inconvenienced by the loss of service on both devices, being compensated for both of those would seem to be a reasonable assumption. Sony's press release certainly implies that it's both if you have both. It just refers to 'PS3 owners' and 'PSP owners' and at no point says the two offers are merged in any way.

In order of quality I'd say :-

PS3
1=) Wipeout HD, Little Big PLanet
2=) Infamous, Quest for Booty
3) Dead nation

PSP
1) Little Big Planet
2=) Modnation Racers, Killzone LIberation
3) Pursuit Force

Infamous and Dead nation on PS3, Modnation Racers and Killzone Liberation on PSP. As I already have the games higher up the list..

I’ve got to find the memory stick for my PSP which I purloined for my little video camera. Dunno where it’s gone. :?

I think that's how I'll be going.

Wow, I've wanted wipeout hd for yonks and never got round to buying it, now I get it for free! This is the best thing to ever happen to the ps network!

Still umming and arring. Defo Infamous, it's just the second one I've not decided on.

Remember playing the original wipeout, was kind of fun.

12 months??? Free for twelve months? Are the cheeky beggars going to start charging after twelve months?

That's just not on.

Sony are giving everyone one year's free ID protection. That was what they said they would do, that's what they're doing everywhere else (i.e. the US for example). I'd imagine it's not Sony's idea, it's what the ID protection company would agree to - Sony aren't exactly in a strong bargaining position over this. That's still worth between 60 and 120 quid - most of the competition charge between a fiver and a tenner a month for ID protection.

And, I assume, if you don't want to pay for the next year you can cancel it. If nobody's tried to use your info in a year, they probably aren't going to. If you honestly expected Sony to supply free ID protection for you for life you're living in a dream world.

No. I'm expecting them to make their system secure enough so you don't need it.

Well, that may or may not be what they've done this time round, but it's kind of academic at this point. You can wish for the past to be changed if you like, but I've found it a fairly fruitless pursuit.

There is no such thing. How secure is "enough"? 100% security is a fantasy.

Stay old skool like me, don't download games unless they're free, buy the disc! :D

You should get it then. It's an utterly astounding game on pretty much every level. It throws stuff on screen as fast as your TV can take it (1080p at 60FPS possibly), the graphics are pretty stunning, the sound & music are excellent, the enemy driver AI is good without being 'cheaty' and there's tons of stuff to do both on and offline. It was utterly bonkers value for a tenner but for free, unless you really, really hate driving games, it's an absolute must.
