I wonder what Washington's financial equivalent of Babylon 5 is
Probably just Warner Bros.

That Pete Doherty's usual lenient sentencing is even more suspicious when you consider this:

That was the first I'd seen anything about that death, and it reads like yet another complete police procedural fcuk-up...

That or Pete Doherty is a free mason? ;)

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find he has friends in high places the amount of times he's been caught high and essentially got away with it....

He has incredible solicitors who get things chucked before they get to court.

Nah, he's been convicted of possession or worse at least four times. He's too f!cked up, arrogant and stupid to make the cases at all hard to prosecute. If he was just joe in the street, he'd be doing at least a couple of years inside by now yet he seems to get away with fines or community orders every time. His father's an army officer (a Major), so that possibly makes him just enough of a member of 'the establishment' to not get lumped in with the chavvy masses in which he actually undoubtedly belongs.
According to wikipedia..

Quote:
In June 2009, Doherty was arrested in Gloucester and charged with driving dangerously, while drunk, and being in possession of heroin. He was released on a £50,000 bail and after 'guilty' pleas were entered, was asked to return to court on 21 December for sentencing. On this date, Doherty was spared jail but was ordered to pay £2,050 in fines, and was banned from driving for 18 months, despite the court hearing Doherty had 21 previous drug offences and six motoring offences. The following day, 22 December, it emerged that Doherty could be charged with offences linked to a hit-and-run incident, which left a pedestrian in a critical condition. Whilst Doherty was in Gloucester court on 21 December, heroin fell out of his coat pocket. He was arrested for possession and was convicted for this offence at the same court on 27 January 2010. He was fined £750 and ordered to pay £85 court costs.

Do you really think anyone should get away with a two grand fine if they please guilty to driving while off their tits after 27 previous convictions during an event which may have led to serious injury? And then get a 750 quid fine when found in possession of a class A drug in court? And that's what some poor sod from a council estate would get under the same circumstances?

Oh, and his music's [LIFTED] as well.

Yes another other scrote would be doing time for any of the offences Doherty was nabbed for.

Daytime call costs also jump to a huge 7.6p/minute (40% more than 18 months ago) while call connection's up 1p to 12.5p. TalkTalk follows on Sunday, increasing line rental by 30p to £12.60/month, with daytime call and connection fees up too.

OBL's death messed up the development of a couple of Hollywood films where the premise was him being hunted :)
