Here's Rachel's solution:  100 - (1+2) = 97 97 x 75 = 7275 7275 - 50 = 7225 7225 ÷ 25 = 289 Needless to say, I was nowhere near.

Oh that's clever - it's so nearly the same as mine, but she managed to get the 25 to do twice the work: to make the 3 and take the 2 if you see what I mean like.

I quite like those. Again though, two very simple numbers rounds.  (((25x10)-10)+7)-1=246 (((8x7)-3)x10)+6+1=537
