Wow, that's surprised me a bit - I was under the impression that Sam Michael was being groomed as a possible replacement for when Patrick Head and Frank Williams decided to retire. I guess considering their current form, something had to give, but it's a shame nonetheless - Sam is a very talented and clever man. But I guess there's no room for sentimentalities when it comes to racing.
Williams is one of those teams I have a soft spot for, I'd dearly love them to be back to their winning ways, but they're a long way from that this year. They never really recovered from losing Adrian Newey in the late 90s. They do seem to have been in a downward spiral for the last 10 years. I hope this restructure can point them in the right direction.
