Im a hoarder. I still have stuff at my mothers and I havent lived there since 2000 (and that was for a week!!). I throw things out when forced to, when i last moved out went my stash of computer "spare parts" - FX55, 2x 6600gt, 2 psus, enough cables to sink the titanic, a few sticks of ram, a broken HD?!! and a bag of those small screws you always end up with ..AFTER youve put the machine back together

Those are currently living in little family groups all over the house, perhaps I should start putting them in little bags in the "Man Drawer" in the bedroom ?

I am very much a hoarder - not so much sentimental stuff (I've got an old letter and a christmas card from an ex, that's about it), but, as Zippy pointed out, I do tend to keep stuff 'that might come in useful someday'.

Probably I've got a lot that can be binned (i.e. I've got a few modem cables and about three modems, despite not having used dial-up for years), but I have been vindicated recently when my IT setup started crapping out. A lot of 'might be useful' bits, such as an old 15GB HDD, actually did come in useful and things would have been a lot more awkward and expensive than was actually the case.

However, in the course of this I discovered a few bits that didn't actually work, or are too old to be of any use these days. So when I get round to tidying they'll be going in the bin. Contrary to what some people might believe :P , I don't keep stuff that isn't any good.

I also keep a lot of paperwork - I got burnt once with insurance, I lost three years NCB because I couldn't prove I had it (threw away the renewal letter), so since then I've kept pretty much everything. It's not like it takes up much room.

Although I do have pretty much every payslip I've had since 1995, mainly for sentimental reasons more than anything (eg, "how the hell did I manage to live on that?!?")
