Well, what's the word now (this is not a cue for anyone to post a clip of Peter Griffin!)?

Mark

£1,026.86

Paid. The deed is done. A discount code saved me £65.54, too.

Delivery sometime next week.

Al, apologies, but the deal was too good to miss. In the two hours I prevaricated, the listed price changed!

Heather - I've just asked my contact for a quote on the 7D. I'll let you know.

Okay, I'm being pushy! Any news, Al?

The prices for the body only 7D are dropping like a stone. As I type, best price is just under £1030. It's getting there.

Sorry Heather - no news yet. He's usually on American time so at least 6 hours behind us. Last I heard there was only about £60 between his 5D2 price and Whorehouse Sexpress so I reckon (guess) £30 cheaper???

Al

I am thinking of getting a Canon EOS 600D. Any comments and suggestions where to get it cheapest. Thanks.

I cant search prices due to being at work but in the past I've used (all online) Cameraworld, Warehouseexpress, Parkcameras and Microglobe off the top of my head and on the highstreet Jessops and Jacobs. I guess Dixons and John Lewis might be worth checking too.

Yes I have tried googling a few. Amazon are not coming out as cheap. I was planning to get with the 18-55 IS lens so looking for around £750. As it is very new I might not get too many bargains right now.

That was the place I monitored for my 7D. It's worth keeping it bookmarked.

As I am going to wait till my iPad has been purchased I suspect that the prices will have fallen a bit by then.

Yay! Shiny new toy has arrived - at last!

I'm waiting for the battery to charge up, then I'll be playing with it for the evening.
